This game is the official mobile port for the hit 2015 first-person shooter of the same name, but with new features optimized for on-the-go players. Rainbow Six Mobile, or R6M, allows you to play solo or with friends on public matchmaking servers. It starts off with two game modes: Bomb and Secure the Area. In the first game mode, defenders must prevent attackers from planting and blowing up designated bomb sites. For the Secure the Area mode, both sides must try and keep a biochemical weapon from ending up in the other team’s hands.
For playable characters, R6M starts with ten Operators as opposed to the full 63-character roster in the original version for other devices. Although others are on their way, the initial lineup is balanced and serves to demonstrate just how optimized the game is for mobile devices. From Sledge to Hibana for attackers to Bandit and Mute for defenders, the game already has enough content to get you going.
So far, the game was met with generally positive feedback, despite its rather limited content. Developers behind the game have committed to releasing more maps, characters, and game modes. What’s available now, although lifted from the console port, is translated smoothly. However, it has quite hefty system requirements in terms of processing speed and storage, making it difficult to enjoy for lower-range devices.
